20,000 Days On Earth

I am mesmerized by this film. A documentary on one of my favorite musicians since I can remember, someone I've seen live multiple times to always unforgettable performances.

The film, with stunning cinematography, is the perfect testament to what it means to be an artist. To just go for it. To live for it. The quote below stuck with me to the end of the film.

And if you don't know Nick Cave, here's one of my favorite songs.

All of our days are numbered. We cannot afford to be idle. To act on a bad idea is better than to not act at all, because the worth of the idea never becomes apparent until you do it. Sometimes this idea can be the smallest thing in the world. A little flame that you hunch over and cup with your hand and pray that will not extinguished by all the storm that howls about it. If you can hold on to that flame, great things can be constructed around it that are massive, and powerful, and world changing. All held on by the tiniest of ideas.
