I think any photographer has dreamt at some point in his life to work with or for National Geographic. For the past several years, photographer Joel Sartore has done precisely that, documenting portraits of animals to raise awareness of the world's extinction crisis.

National Geographic just published this little reel piece showing some of the behind-the-scenes adventures in trying to photograph captive animals for this project. The work speaks for itself, and it's our inspiration for this rainy Sunday in San Francisco.
